Child Shield Movement — Protecting Tanzania's Children

Why We Exist

Too many children still face abuse without a way to be heard.

Despite ongoing efforts by the Tanzanian government to address domestic and sexual abuse, many cases — particularly involving children and women — continue to be reported nationwide. These incidents heavily burden victims, their families, society, and the government. Often, justice is not served due to a lack of evidence and the victims' inability to identify their abusers, making the legal process even more difficult.

Sadly, some children disappear without a trace, targeted by predators in unsafe environments, leading to abduction, murder, or trafficking. These tragedies deeply affect victims, families, society, and the Tanzanian government.

Child Shield Movement offers a proactive solution — equipping children with skills to avoid such dangers and, if needed, helping secure justice through credible evidence.

Our Vision

To prepare a generation of children in Tanzania where every child is safe, empowered, and protected from abuse, abduction, and trafficking.

Our Mission

To equip children with age-appropriate practical skills to prevent abuse and exploitation, while partnering with government institutions and communities to promote child safety and ensure justice for victims.
